Certified Service Discounts are here for GM Employees and Retirees

On the heels of launching Certified Service for all GM vehicle brands, Customer Care and Aftersales has announced the 2011 Certified Service Employee Discount Program beginning March 14.

Certified Service is changing the way dealerships approach the service experience in effort to increase customer service retention. As an incentive to get our own GM employees and retirees to utilize our GM dealers for service, CCA will offer all US Salaried, Hourly and Retired employees a discount toward any customer pay service or parts purchase at participating US dealerships.

Employees and retirees who visit their local dealership for customer pay transactions of $25 or more on the service lane, in the body shop or parts department are eligible to receive a discount towards their purchase. The discount, ranging from $5 - $20 is based on the total amount of the transaction. The discount is also stackable with current everyday value pricing and all CCA rebate programs.

Eligible employees and retirees can retrieve their authorization number at www.gmfamilyfirst.comand will be able to utilize up to three discounts for themselves or immediate family during the promotional period ending Dec. 31. For convenience, many dealerships will now offer Saturday service hours. For more details on the program and a list of participating dealerships, visit www.gmfamilyfirst.com.

To All General Motors Retirees:

GM Retiree Discounts On Service & Parts

General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) recently announced the launch of Certified Service at GM Dealerships for all of our vehicle brands. This is more than just a name change; it's a commitment from the highest levels of GM to provide superior treatment, convenience and value during every service visit.

Certified Service will redefine your service experience with:

Great customer treatment, convenience and value,
Respecting the customer's time, and ...
Creating a truly exceptional service experience

With this in mind, we would like to invite you to have your vehicle's future service done at your local Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac dealer and experience this change first hand. As an incentive to do this, we are pleased to announce the 2011 Certified Service Employee Discount Program. As of March 14, 2011, CCA will offer all U.S. GM Retired employees, including immediate family members, a discount toward any service or parts purchase at participating US dealerships.

When you visit your local dealership for a customer-pay transaction of $25.00 or more in the body shop or parts department you are eligible to receive a discount up to $20.00 toward your purchase. This discount is fully stackable with current everyday value pricing and all rebate programs as well.

Retirees will have up to three discount certificates available to use between March 14 and December 31, 2011. You may retrieve the discount certificates and find additional information on the program at www.gmfamilyfirst.com.

As a part of this program, many dealerships will now offer Saturday hours as an added convenience for you. A participating dealership list can also be found on the GM Family First website: https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/ip-vpp/ .

Please note: This discount was announced on www.GMRetiree.com on March 14, but it's been brought to our attention that many retirees did not see the announcement on the site, and therefore we are sending this email, so that you can take advantage of these discounts.

About this e-mail...

About the GM Certified Service Employee Discount Program
Special Savings On GM Dealer Services.

In the market for maintenance or repair on your vehicle — or know an eligible family member who is? The GM Certified Service Employee Discount Program can save up to $20 on customer pay vehicle maintenance and repairs at your local participating GM Dealer.

Here’s all you need to do.

Much like the GM Employee New Vehicle Purchase Program, you must request an authorization number for yourself and/or an eligible family member. (You may request up to three authorization numbers for the remainder of the 2011 calendar year.)

Once you obtain the authorization number, take it to your local participating GM Dealer, and at the time of service write-up, present the authorization number to your dealership representative. The discount amount will be applied at completion of your transaction. Discount amounts vary depending on your service total (Repair Order Value) before discount, taxes and related shop supplies.

Your exclusive GM employee discount structure is as follows:

$ 25.00 – $49.99 Repair Order Value – receives a $ 5.00 discount
$ 50.00 – $74.99 Repair Order Value – receives a $10.00 discount
$ 75.00 – $99.99 Repair Order Value – receives a $15.00 discount
$100.00+ Repair Order Value – receives a $20.00 discount
Note: Minimum Repair Order Value to be eligible for discount is $25.00.

Remember, no one knows your vehicle better than your local GM Dealer.

The GM Certified Service Employee Discount Program is the perfect program for those who want to take their vehicle to the people who know it best – the men and women at Certified Service. From competitive pricing on services like oil changes to brakes and tires, your GM Dealer is ready to help keep your vehicle in top running order.
